Colour Mixer SV195

"Shipping from the uk & India"

Explore the captivating phenomenon of color mixing with our innovative LED technology demonstration! Color can be perceived in two distinct ways: subtractive and additive mixing. In subtractive color mixing, more wavelengths of light are absorbed rather than reflected back to our eyes, resulting in the mixed paint appearing darker because fewer wavelengths are visible. In contrast, additive color mixing can be understood as the ‘adding’ of wavelengths of light that reach our eyes.

This phenomenon of color mixing is demonstrated using innovative LED technology. The apparatus consists of six LEDs—three inner LEDs (red, green, and blue) and three outer LEDs (red, green, and blue)—arranged in a circular frame with 120-degree separation, ensuring equal distance from the center. The outer LEDs are positioned at the same radius of curvature, allowing for balanced color mixing.
To enhance the brightness of the ultra-bright LEDs, a control box is provided. This control box can operate the LEDs in inner or outer mode and vary the intensity of each LED from 0 to 100%. It also offers a wide range of color selection and mixing capabilities in varying ratios.
The kit includes a U-channel bench, a black aperture screen, a translucent screen, and the control box. The demonstration is further enhanced by the included circular aperture, which creates overlapping circles of color, and the translucent screen, allowing the effect to be visible from both sides for both additive and subtractive color mixing.

  • Six LEDs : 3 outer and 3 inner LEDs.
  • Subtractive and additive colour mixing.
  • By varying the intensity of each light source, any shade of any colour obtained.
  • U channel for fixing all items at desired place.

Exp-1 Demonstrate additive colour mixing by combining red, green, and blue lights.
Exp-2 Show how combining different colour subtracts light to create new colours.
Exp-3 Investigate how colour perception changes under different light intensity.
